MTN8 final to go ahead despite severe storm in KZN


The Absa Premier league have assure the supporters that the MTN8 final between Cape Town City and SuperSport United will go ahead despite the devastating severe weather conditions that have wreaked havoc in areas of KwaZulu-Natal.

SuperSport United will lock horns with City on Saturday at 19:00 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban.

The League said in a statement,”The Premier Soccer League would like to reassure the supporters that the MTN8 Final schedule for the Moses Mabhida Stadium this coming Saturday, 14 October 20017 is still on.

Following the floods in Durban this week, the PSL has been in constant contact with Moses Mabhida Stadium Management to assess the state of the stadium more importantly the playing surface.

The League is satisfied that the pitch will be in a playable conditions and therefore the final will kick-off at 19:h00 as scheduled.

Cape Town City will play SuperSport United in a highly anticipated class at the Moses Mabhida.
