The South African Football Association (SAFA) has suspended three match officials found guilty of corrupt activities following their a disciplinary hearing.

“Our zero tolerance on corrupt activities especially among officials are well documented and this is a reminder that anyone caught in corrupt matters will face the full wrath of the law. Be warned,”  SAFA chair of the Technical Committee, Natasha Tsichlas said.

The association says that three of its match officials, Thabo Thinane, Rudzani Mulaudzi and Linos Hobwane were found guilty of different wrongdoings.

Thinane was suspended from his officiating duties for a period of three months until February next year.

The disciplinary hearing found him guilty of manipulation for using a medical certificate of another official during his fitness test.

Meanwhile, Mulaudzi has been suspended as a Match Commissioner for the remainder of the current 2017/18 season.

He was found guilty of providing false information in a PSL matter between Amazulu FC and Baroka FC.

The association says that he has also been ordered to submit an apology letter to SAFA for his wrongdoings.

A heavier sentence has been handed to Hobwane who also gave false information in PSL DC proceedings in a matter involving the match between Amazulu FC and Baroka FC.

SAFA has suspended him from any refereeing capacity for a period of two seasons.
