Ngoepe said that during the incident an undisclosed amount of cash was taken but it is not clear at this stage what other properties were taken but the determination through the crime scene investigations is still unfolding.
This comes after police have arrested Seven suspects arrested in connection with farm attacks.
In August bodies of Pieter van Zyl (69) and his wife Mathilda van Zyl were discovered the next day with multiple gunshot wounds with their hands tied.
DA Provincial Leader Jacques Smalle said they seek a follow-up meeting with the Limpopo Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba to get an update on progress made on the implementation of the Rural Safety Plan.
“The scourge of farm murders continues to threaten the well-being of our rural communities. According to a report on farm murders, there were eight farm murders in the Limpopo Province in the 2016/17 financial year and there have been at least four more murders to date.
“It is clear that farmers, their employees and all other members of society living in rural areas, are facing extreme danger and are vulnerable due to the large distances between households. It is therefore imperative that the rural safety plan is implemented urgently,” she said.
Ngoepe added that the suspects in this matter are still unknown and no arrest has yet been made.
